Toivo is Australia's
first Grand Champion Keeshond Imported from Europe.

Toivo is the 4th Grand
Champion for Nynka Keeshonds and joins the ranks of his
Grandsire (Nynka), Great-Grandsire (Kerjoydon) and Great-Great-Grandsire (Kema) who
also achieved their Grand Champion Title.

Since the inception of
the Grand champion title in 1998 less than 30 Keeshonds
in Australia have reached this level.

We took a trip to Canberra for the ACT Shows with an
International Judging Panel and came home
winning all of the Best of Breeds (4) and 7 out of the 8
CC's on offer for the Breed. I really enjoyed seeing
old friends again and meeting some new ones. Apart
from the cyclonic winds, it was most enjoyable.

Today we attended the
Victorian Spitz Breeds Club 10th Anniversary Show. I
was thrilled when Toivo was awarded BEST
OF BREED, then
from an entry of 155 Spitz
Breeds. Thank you to All Breeds Judge Mr R Bridgford.
 Thank
you to the club and sponsors we came home with a great haul
of lovely prizes, including temporary care of a wonderful
Perpetual trophy on which Levi's name is inscribed as he won
the same award at this Show in 2000 & 2001. Now Toivo's
name will go on the same trophy!

An exciting weekend away
continues when my friend and travelling companion Jacqui
wins Runner up Best in Show
the next day with her young import Ch Lymrey High Treason
(Imp Uk)!!! And Toivo finishes off the weekend with
another Best Intermediate in Group
award.
Then to top off all the excitement.....
the biggest and most prestigious dog show in the world -
Crufts held in Birmingham, UK had taken place while we were
away. Back at home I scanned the Crufts website and
discovered that a Levi daughter (born in the UK through AI)
has won Res Best Bitch at Crufts from a breed entry of
78 (with 50 bitches)!!! "Freya" was also the top
CC winning bitch in the UK in 2002 and has won speciality
CC's and Res in Shows at Specialties.
Lots of beautiful dogs contribute to all our pedigrees, but
I'm so proud that a little bit of "the
legend" lives on..........
